Severn, NC
The Severn, NC Facility is located on approximately 42 acres just outside of the town of Severn in rural northeastern North Carolina. This facility is serviced by rail and has convenient access to Interstate 95 and the Tidewater area for overseas container shipments. Severn produces Resinall's full line of products in eight batch reactors ranging in size from 24,000 LB (11 MT) to 80,000 LB (36 MT).
The plant also operates four blend kettles for the production of various solution products. The plant produces both solid flaked resin on two stainless steel flaking belts, as well as resin solutions in oil and solvent. The plant is equipped with both steam boilers and hot oil heaters for process heating.
Flaked product is packaged and shipped in 50 LB (22.5 KG) bags, drums and up to 2,200 LB (1 MT) bulk bags.
Solution products are packaged and shipped in drums, totes, tank trucks and railcars. The site is also home to a fully staffed R&D laboratory. Included in the R&D group at Severn is a fully capable 1,200 LB (544 KG) pilot reactor used for product scale-up and production of small scale commercial products.
